Three axes of coherence

FIELD COHERENCE
Structural integrity
Discharge coefficient, charge motion (swirl/tumble), equivalence ratio preparation, and spray penetration quality. Measures whether geometry and mixture are holding form.
FLOW COHERENCE
Combustion dynamics
Spark timing vs MBT, burn duration 10–90% MFB, peak heat release phasing, and peak cylinder pressure. Asymmetric penalties — advancing past MBT penalises harder than retarding.
EFFICIENCY COHERENCE
Thermodynamic conversion
IMEP, indicated thermal efficiency, knock intensity (aggressive k=3.0 decay), and complete emissions index — CO, HC, and NOx. Safety gate attenuates THP when peak temperature exceeds limits.

Real-time UDP telemetry

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need hardware to use THP-Combustion?

No. The built-in Demo mode simulates a full timing sweep from MBT to knock onset. For real data, paste exports from GT-Power or STAR-CCM+, or connect via UDP from your DAQ system.

Which simulation tools are supported?

STAR-CCM+ (monitor tables, field reports), GT-Power (GT-POST CSV), AVL FIRE (cycle output), any tool that exports CSV or JSON. The Smart Paste parser auto-detects the format.

What is Grace State?

The highest stable THP your specific engine configuration has demonstrated, learned per fuel profile. Coherence Loss tracks how far this engine has drifted from its own peak — not from a factory spec.

Is my telemetry data sent anywhere?

No. All computation runs entirely on-device. No data is transmitted to any external server. No analytics, no accounts, no cloud. The app works fully offline.

What makes the THP v2 engine different?

Asymmetric penalties match real physics: advancing timing past MBT is penalised harder than retarding. Per-variable decay rates (φ × k) instead of flat φ. HC emissions included. Peak temperature safety gate. Knock at k=3.0 — the most aggressive decay in the system.

Can I use it for e-fuel or hydrogen testing?

Yes — dedicated profiles for E-Fuel Synthetic and Hydrogen Lean Burn with their own reference values and axis weights. Grace State learns the baseline for fuels that have no historical reference.
