THP-Combustion

Data Collection

THP-Combustion does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The app has no user accounts, no registration, no login, and no sign-up process. No analytics frameworks, advertising identifiers, or tracking technologies are included in the app.

On-Device Storage

The app stores a single value — the Grace State — in the device's local UserDefaults. This value represents the highest stable combustion coherence score your engine configuration has demonstrated, partitioned by fuel profile. It is:

• Stored entirely on your device
• Never transmitted to any server or external endpoint
• Deletable at any time via the "Reset Grace State" button in Settings

This data usage is declared in the app's PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy manifest under NSPrivacyAccessedAPICategoryUserDefaults with reason code CA92.1 (app functionality).

Network Usage

THP-Combustion uses local network connections exclusively for receiving combustion telemetry data from simulation software (GT-Power, STAR-CCM+) or test bench DAQ systems (AVL PUMA, Horiba) running on the same local network. Specifically:

• Incoming connections (UDP listener): The app listens on a configurable local port (default 55157) for telemetry packets. No data is received from the internet.
• Outgoing connections (UDP response): In co-simulation mode, the app may send acknowledgement packets back to the originating simulation host on the local network. No data is sent to external servers, APIs, or any endpoint outside the local network.

The app makes no HTTP requests, no DNS lookups, no API calls, and has no internet-facing functionality. It works fully offline.

File Access

The app can import CSV and text files via the standard file picker or drag-and-drop. File access is read-only and limited to files explicitly selected by the user. The app cannot browse, scan, or access any files without user action.

Third-Party Services

THP-Combustion uses no third-party SDKs, analytics services, crash reporters, advertising frameworks, or external dependencies of any kind. The entire application runs self-contained on the device.

Telemetry Data

Combustion telemetry data received via UDP (cycle pressure, timing, efficiency, emissions, etc.) is processed in real time and held in a memory buffer for the duration of the session. This data is:

• Never written to disk (except Grace State as described above)
• Never transmitted to any external service
• Cleared when the session ends or when the user taps "Clear Buffer"

Children's Privacy

THP-Combustion is a professional engineering tool. It does not target, collect data from, or market to children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction).

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL. The app's core privacy architecture — no data collection, no tracking, no cloud — is a design constraint, not a policy choice, and will not change.
