Privacy Policy

Summary — Plain Language

Peliculla processes your video on your device. It has no account, no login, no analytics, and no advertising. It does not collect personal data. Video is graded locally in real time. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you turn on a transmission output (NDI, SRT, or Browser Source) — in which case your video stream goes only to the destinations you choose.

1. Information We Collect

Peliculla does not collect, store, or transmit personal data to us. We operate no servers, no analytics services, and no accounts. We have no access to your video, your looks, your files, or your usage.

2. How the App Processes Video

All color processing happens locally on your Mac, on the GPU, in real time:

Input — video from a file, camera, capture device, or incoming stream is processed in memory on your device.
Grading — the color pipeline runs locally using Metal. Your grade, looks, and LUTs stay on your device.
Looks & files — looks you save (.pel) and LUTs you import (.cube) are stored where you choose on your device. Peliculla does not upload them.

3. Transmission Outputs

Peliculla can transmit your graded video, but only when you explicitly enable an output:

NDI — sends your video over your local network to NDI receivers you choose. It stays within your network.
SRT — sends your video over the internet to the destination you configure, optionally encrypted with AES. The stream goes only to that destination, not to us.
Browser Source — serves your video on a local address for software such as OBS to read. By default this is local to your machine.

These outputs are off until you turn them on. When on, your video travels to the destinations you specify — Peliculla has no intermediary server and never routes your stream through us.

4. Data Sharing

We share no data with third parties, because we collect none. Peliculla has no backend, no analytics SDK, and no advertising network.

5. Device Permissions

Peliculla may request the following permissions, only as needed:

Camera — to use a camera as a live input. Frames are processed locally and only transmitted if you enable an output.
Microphone / audio input — to carry audio alongside your video when transmitting. Audio is processed locally.
Local network — to discover and send to NDI receivers and to serve the Browser Source output on your network.
File access — to open media, import LUTs, and save or share looks, where you choose.

You may revoke any permission at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security.

6. Children's Privacy

Peliculla is a professional video tool with no account system and no content directed at children. It collects no personal data from any user.

7. Data Retention

Peliculla stores only your preferences and the looks/LUTs you choose to save, locally on your device. We retain nothing, because we receive nothing. Deleting the app removes its locally stored preferences.

8. Your Rights

Because we collect no personal data, there is no data held by us to access, correct, export, or delete. Your looks and files are yours, on your device, under your control.

9. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes in a future version, the updated policy will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
